Let me introduce myself :

my name is

"Bee of Pégé"

I am the representative for our palace (human beings call it an apiary). In our palace there are twelve flats ( they say they are hives) and next to our palace there are some more houses (they call them hives, too). We live in very large families whose chief is a queen. Nevertheless, to ensure our well-being we need a human being. He or she is called a beekeeper. Our beekeeper looks after us, helps us when necessary, when we are sick, when we wish to extend our flat and many other things. In return, we give him our products :

*honey*, *pollen*, *wax* and *propolis*

Our palace can be visited. I am talking in particular to schools and societies who, on a walking tour in our region, would like to increase their knowledge of our life and the job of a beekeeper. Of course everyone is welcome. Our beekeeper shows people round and gives explanations, from mid-May to mid-September. This is the time when we are most busy. People who are interested can contact us at the following e-mail address : pege@honeyfarm.ch
I nearly forgot to tell you our palace is situated in Jura, 1.150 m high, on the south side of Chasseral. You will have to walk to reach us. You will receive all necessary information by return. The enclosed photgraphs will help you get an idea of what to expect if you come and visit us. Yours,

Bee of Pégé
